Because 90% of brain development occurs in the first five years of life, VOCEL partners with families to develop young children’s communication, interpersonal and executive function skills so they can thrive in school and succeed in life.
We believe that learning should be joyful, adaptive and derived from real-world interactions. It should be available to all, and always affordable—designed to meet families’ needs based on their individual circumstances. With the support of our partners and individual donors, VOCEL’s mission is coming to life. Our first classroom is educating children on the far west side of Chicago, marked by an immersive, hands-on atmosphere and an emphasis on language acquisition. By empowering children with language-based learning, they are developing integral verbal expression and social skills. These proficiencies will serve them now—establishing friendships, coping with emotions—and greatly in the decades to come, opening a variety of opportunities. If you are interested in helping us further our mission, please considering supporting VOCEL by investing in our children, volunteering or partnering with us.
