A Better Chicago’s first gift to VOCEL in 2021 helped launch the Early Educators for Thriving Children (EETC) fellowship, which provides coaching and support to pre-K through first grade teachers focused on play-based learning, social-emotional learning, and student and teacher mental health. Over the past three years, A Better Chicago has supported the continued growth of EETC from (from 20 to more than 40 teacher fellows) and made investments in VOCEL’s infrastructure and systems. Meanwhile, A Better Chicago’s team members have consistently been generous and insightful thought partners to VOCEL.
