Claribel’s goal working with VOCEL is to provide the kiddos & the families with a sense of hope & advocacy.

As a family support specialist, Claribel works hands-on with the families to provide resources, a comfortable space of support for the parents & caregivers to build strong relationships with the children in their lives.

Before VOCEL, Claribel worked with Chicago Public Schools as a Bus Aide & Classroom Monitor. Claribel worked closely with children that had special needs, became very involved with supporting the families, advocating for their needs,  providing resources in & out of the school setting.

Claribel is a proud mom of 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. In her free time, she really enjoys dancing and swimming. “I always felt like I was a mermaid in a different life...I love going to the ocean.”
