Jamie's head shot

Jamie Huenink

Sr. Program Manager

“I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of VOCEL through many iterations. One constant throughout the years is our team’s passion for supporting the whole family and the team of adults who impact children. Through meaningful relationships and lots of play, we’ve built a lot of lasting community memories.”

Jamie has been with VOCEL for six years, starting as a part-time family support specialist and now managing VOCEL’s teacher fellowship program. Currently, Jamie works with early educators to strengthen their resiliency through cohort groups and individual coaching centered on mental health, social and emotional learning, and the power of play. Jamie has always been passionate about building relationships with any child, adult, or family that is a part of VOCEL’s programs. Jamie integrates social/emotional work, play, and attachment relationships in her day to day work.

Jamie received her Masters in Social Work in 2019, and has been working in the field of social work, child development, and family studies since 2012. She is currently working towards her clinical social work license in Wisconsin. In addition to her work at VOCEL, Jamie provides clinical therapy to children and families.

When she’s not playing with kids and families at work, she’s usually doing something playful at home! Whether it’s spending time with loved ones, cooking, painting, singing, or practicing yoga, she’s usually doing something to fill up her cup.
