Nelly is the Senior Program Manager of Powered by VOCEL (PbV). In this role, she holds both child and caregiver learning as primary goals and brings this dual focus to the facilitation of programs, curriculum development, and leader training and development. Nelly has been an educator for over five years and strongly believes that children are powerful freedom dreamers who learn best through hands-on play in emotionally supportive environments. One of her many driving forces in her current role is experiencing folks realize their power and exercise their leadership.

Nelly holds a BA in Human Development and Learning from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is also a mother of two littles, whom she learns from every day. Raising her children has been a liberating and healing journey for her. Outside of work, Nelly can be found in the gym, eating all the vegan foods, going on new adventures with her kids and partner, listening to music, and dancing!
