“I believe that when we nurture children’s early learning through play and social-emotional development, we lay the foundation for successful scholars who think critically, collaborate effectively, and lead with confidence.”

Ryan Edwards holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Benedictine University and a Master’s in School Counseling from Capella University. With seven years of experience as a daycare lead teacher, four years as a school counselor, and four years as a dean of students, she has dedicated her career to supporting students’ academic and emotional success. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology, she is committed to integrating social-emotional learning (SEL) and play-based learning into education.

In addition to her work in schools, Ryan has developed curriculum designed to enhance student learning, social-emotional development, and classroom engagement. She has coached teachers and administrators in SEL and classroom management strategies and has led school-wide culture and climate initiatives to foster a supportive learning environment where students can thrive both academically and emotionally.

In her free time, she enjoys teaching tap dance, playing basketball, listening to music and nature sounds, and spending time with her husband and three children—always finding joy in moments that bring fun and connection.
